In a significant step toward enhancing food security and supporting vulnerable families, the Development and Cooperation Association (DCA), with the generous support of Action for Humanity UK (AFH), has launched “Our Giving Bakery” — a high-capacity facility producing 5,000 bundles of bread within an 8-hour work period.
This initiative aims to provide regular and free access to fresh bread for underprivileged households, particularly amid rising prices and economic hardship. Bread is a vital staple in daily life, and DCA is committed to ensuring it reaches those who need it most.
The bakery is equipped with modern machinery to ensure high-quality and safe production standards. A team of professional bakers and logistics staff oversee the daily operations, ensuring efficiency and smooth distribution.
Badih Ghazzawi, Chief Partnership Officer of DCA, commented:
“The launch of Our Giving Bakery is a direct response to an urgent community need. Our goal is that no home goes without bread, and that we stand as a reliable support system for families facing difficult circumstances.”
Bread will be distributed daily at designated points in the most vulnerable areas, through a fair and accessible distribution mechanism.
