Emergency Response to War Crisis in Lebanon

The Emergency Response to War Crisis in Lebanon project was designed to address the immediate and critical needs of those affected by the ongoing conflict. The project encompassed several sectors, focusing on providing food, healthcare, shelter, and essential services to vulnerable communities. In the Livelihood/Emergency sector, a community kitchen capable of producing 5,000 meals per day was established in Saida, while three mobile clinics and three firefighting vehicles were procured for Saida and Tyre, offering essential medical care and emergency response.

In Food Security, 103,000 hot meals and 450 ready-to-eat meals were distributed to families in Saida, alongside 1,884 food parcels benefiting 9,420 individuals across Saida, Al Beqaa, and Jezzine. In the WASH sector, 1,167 hygiene kits were distributed to 5,835 individuals, and 14,200 people benefited from drinking water distribution in the same areas.

The Basic Assistance sector provided 2,245 mattresses, pillows, and blankets to families in Saida, Al Beqaa, and Jezzine, ensuring better living conditions. In the Health sector, 2,160 individuals benefited from mobile clinics, and 14,600 babies received milk distribution, particularly in Saida, Beqaa, Jezzine, and Mount Lebanon.

This comprehensive response was vital in alleviating suffering, improving access to essential services, and restoring hope to individuals and families affected by the crisis. The project not only met immediate needs but also strengthened community resilience during a time of intense hardship.
