March 2025 /1446 AH– During the holy month of Ramadan, the Development and Cooperation Association (DCA) launched a wide-reaching humanitarian project aimed at supporting vulnerable families and individuals across the country. The 2025 campaign focused on addressing food insecurity and promoting social solidarity through the distribution of essential aid.
At the heart of the project was the distribution of 12,240 food parcels, containing staple items to help families prepare traditional and nutritious meals throughout Ramadan. These parcels were distributed, directly benefiting thousands of individuals in need.
In addition to the food parcels, DCA provided an impressive 54,841 hot meals from Our Giving Kitchen, ensuring that fasting individuals had access to warm, ready-to-eat meals during Iftar. To supplement these efforts, 75,344 bundles of bread from Our Giving Bakery were handed out to households, further alleviating daily food concerns.
DCA also organized community-based project to foster connection and compassion during the sacred month. These included the distribution of 4,350 cups of soup, dates, and water to the passersby, helping people break their fasts with dignity and care. Moreover, a special community Iftar event brought together 1,200 people, strengthening the spirit of togetherness and generosity.
To reach beyond food aid, DCA distributed Zakat al-Mal to 2,205 individuals, offering crucial financial assistance to help families manage essential expenses during this spiritually significant time.
Altogether, the Ramadan 2025 project reached 154,660 thousand of rightsholders, reflecting DCA’s continued commitment to supporting marginalized communities. The project not only provided material relief but also uplifted the social fabric through shared compassion and solidarity.
“Ramadan is a time of reflection, giving, and unity,” said Tarek El Bizri, the Executive Manager at DCA. “Through this project, we were able to ease the burden on many families and bring communities together. We are deeply thankful to our donors, volunteers, and partners who made this possible.”
DCA’s 2025 Ramadan campaign stands as a testament to what can be achieved when people unite for a common cause. In a time when many continue to face economic hardship, the project offered hope, dignity, and a reminder of the power of giving.
